Ralph Barrale Sr., born on January 22, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri, was a distinguished World War II veteran who served as a Military Policeman, participating in pivotal events such as D-Day at Utah Beach, the Battle of the Bulge, and the Nuremberg Trials.fter the war, he dedicated his life to honoring fellow veterans, spearheading initiatives like the naming of the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Highway 364 and the establishment of Veterans Memorial Park in Lake St. Louis.is enduring dream was to create a museum that would honor veterans for generations to come.lthough he passed away just weeks before its opening in April 2019, the Mid America Veterans Museum stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to preserving the legacies of those who served our nation.
